Made in Japan Europe (MIJ Europe) is a distributor of Japanese handmade ceramics in Europe. The ceramics are imported directly from Japan, are health safe and can be used in the dishwasher and microwave. The Made In Japan brand boasts unique tableware designs that will take your dining experience to the next level. Bringing the joy of modern dining across Europe :)
Are the dishes free of harmful dyes and metals?
Is the ceramic dishwasher and microwave suitable?
Yes, it is. Some products cannot be washed in the dishwasher, such as wooden chopsticks. For products that are not dishwasher safe or microwave safe, this information is given in the product details. MIJ products are dishwasher safe with a maximum temperature of 70 degrees Celsius. It is also safe to use a microwave, but we do not recommend it. MIJ is not suitable for the oven. Generally, high temperatures (above 80 degrees) are not recommended.
What material are the products made of?
Most of MIJ products are stoneware made of clay specific for the Gifu region. Products are durable and its colorful glaze does not contain any metals.

How can I check the status of my order?
If you are a registered customer, you will find details of your order status in your account. If you are a non-registered customer, please feel free to contact us via email firstname.lastname@example.org or chat on our website for more information about your order. We will be happy to provide you with information on the status of your order.
Can I make changes to my order?
To make changes to an order, you must cancel the original order and create a new one. To cancel an order, please contact us on email address email@example.com.

Do you also deliver to the UK?
Well, we don't. However, please see the website of our UK partner.
How do I know which countries you're delivering to?
A detailed overview of the countries to which we deliver can be found HERE In the table you will also find the delivery times in days from the moment the parcel is handed over to the courier company. In this section you will also find the shipping methods that can be selected for specific countries. If your country is not listed in the table, you can arrange the shipping yourself. In this case, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where can I find the cost of transport?
The price of transport can be found in the Shipping and payment methods section. The price of shipping depends on the place of delivery and the weight of the order. The shipping price is automatically calculated when you complete your order in the shopping cart. For some countries you can also choose the type of shipping - for example, to a Packeta pick-up point, GLS delivery to your address or DHL express courier service.
How long does it take to deliver my order?
Delivery times can be found under Shipping and Payment Methods. The delivery time of your order varies depending on the delivery location. We sell orders to carriers within 2-3 business days of receiving payment for your order.
What does DHL Express deliver to?
If you create and pay for your order by 12:00 and choose DHL Express, we will ship it the same day. You can then view the delivery times in the Payment and Shipping Method section.
I haven't received an email from the shipping company with the tracking number. What should I do ? How do I find out where my order is?
If you have not received an email with your shipment number within 3 days of submitting your order, please email us at email@example.com and we will investigate and provide you with your shipment number or more information about where your order is located.
Can I pick up my order in person?
You can also pick up your order in person at our warehouse address: Strojírenská 259/6, 155 21, Prague - Zličín from 8:00 to 17:00. We'll let you know the pick-up date by email or phone.
How do I pay for an order?
Current payment methods available are: bank transfer, credit card payment, online bank transfer, paypal. See the Payment and Shipping Methods section in the footer for more information.
Card payment was canceled, what should I do?
Please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will generate a reissue link. Alternatively, we'll provide you with the information you need to make a bank transfer payment.
How do I find out when sold out items are back in stock?
Please contact us by email at email@example.com and we will arrange for additional product storage. It is also possible to set up a watchdog and you will receive information about the status of stocks after the product is stocked.
How do I redeem my discount code?
In the first step of the shopping cart, you'll find a text box to insert a discount coupon, in which you'll enter your discount coupon. The discount will be applied automatically.
I didn't receive a discount coupon after signing up for the newsletter.
If you haven't received a welcome discount coupon, first check your inbox for advertising or spam. If the welcome discount email doesn't appear there, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll take a look.
What if I forgot to redeem the discount coupon?
If you forgot to redeem your coupon, please contact us immediately with this information via chat or email email@example.com. We will adjust your order according to the condition of the order. However, the coupon cannot be redeemed after the order has been paid.
My bank is outside the EU, but I want to deliver the order within the country where you are delivering. Can I make a payment?
Payments outside of Europe are charged by our bank and GoPay. In such cases, we are not responsible for any fees you incur. However, you can use the Paypal payment method.
Is it possible to pay by cash on delivery?
No, cash on delivery is not possible in our e-shop.
I don't like the product and want to return it.
Returns are possible within 14 days of delivery. The customer must arrange the transport himself at his own expense. We can arrange transportation, but the costs remain with the customer. You must fill in the withdrawal document and deliver it signed together with the product back to the address of our warehouse. More information can be found HERE.
I found the products broken / damaged.
Contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org and provide us your order number, photos of the damaged goods and whether you wish to exchange the goods or refund your account. In this case, we will pay the postage.
Can I exchange products for others?

How long does a refund take?
We are required to make a refund within 14 calendar days of the date you withdraw from the purchase agreement. However, not before we receive the returned product. The length of the transfer then depends on the type of your credit card, account and the conditions of your bank. In most cases, however, the money transfer takes 2 to 5 business days.

Are all products available?
Although we try to have as many products in stock, the production of MIJ dishes takes time. Therefore, from time to time, there are some products that are not in stock. Feel free to contact our sales managers to verify future availability.
